An experienced Cleaner is required who will be primarily stationed at Beacon View Primary School in Paulsgrove but may be required to work additional hours across the Portsmouth cluster of schools. This position is offered on a fixed term basis for 1 year, ideally starting in January 2024. Cleaning hours are 15:15-17:45 Monday to Friday (12.5 hours per week - Term Time only -39 weeks), plus an additional 75 hours per annum spread across the school holidays to enable deep cleans – see job description for further information.Duties include:To carry out cleaning duties as part of the teamTo act as a point of contact for routine day to day mattersTo be responsible for the issue, collection and safe keeping of keysTo ensure that sufficient staffing levels are maintained in the area to meet the business needsTo allocate staff daily to ensure the completion of work schedulesTo carry out cleaning checks to ensure that a high standard of cleaning is maintainedTo inform the Cluster Site Manager of any concerns or issues regarding the welfare, behaviour, or performance of staffCarry out cleaning duties following COSHH data sheets, risk assessments and method statementsTo control and issue cleaning materials and equipmentTo ensure that the team always provide excellent customer careTo be responsible for locking the school building in the absence of the Site Manager / School CaretakerCorrectly use the cleaning equipment and materials provided, in compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures and work in a safe mannerAdhere to United Learning policy and proceduresBe a team player, work as part of a small team but manage your own responsibilities and be accountable for your designated areaCarry out cleaning tasks to meet the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) standardsKeep all cleaning equipment clean and maintained and report any faults to your ManagerTo ensure that all accidents
