Digital Strategy

At Beacon View Primary Academy we believe that every child (and every adult) has the right to enhance their learning through the effective and safe use of technology both within and beyond the classroom. They are taught how to develop their 21st century digital literacy skills, particularly around communication and collaboration, so that they can thrive in the future. The digital divide is narrowed through effective device deployment to those children who need them at home.

All staff use modern interactive technology and a range of skills to support and enhance Teaching and Learning, through embedding relevant pedagogy such as Rosenshine Principles and live actionable feedback. Staff are regularly trained to further develop their skills and are encouraged to encompass and model the highest expectations for using technology effectively and safely.

We believe that having this digital strategy, which is closely linked to Teaching and Learning, will enable all members of the school community to work safely and collaboratively whilst allowing achievement for all.
